Tottenham inquire about Roma’s Niccolo Pisilli | OneFootball

Premier League side Tottenham have asked Roma about the potential signing of Niccolo Pisilli.

According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport via TMW, Tottenham inquired and received information about Roma’s Niccolo Pisilli recently.

Following the appointment of Thomas Frank from Brentford as their new manager, Spurs are assessing opportunities across the transfer market, and there was a strong interest in Pisilli.

The 20-year-old, however, has turned down any kind of offers. Tottenham’s interest in the player died down quickly after it began following Pisilli’s decision.

Pisilli starred for Italy U-21 last night in the 1-0 victory over Slovakia. He feels that he has a long way to go in the Italian capital with the Giallorossi, and therefore, he is not looking to move away anytime soon from the club.

Pisilli made 41 appearances across all competitions last season with Roma, scoring thrice and assisting once. With age on his side, he is expected to develop more this upcoming season and possibly attract more interest from Premier League outfits.
