Tottenham Hotspur made a late push on transfer deadline day to sign Randal Kolo Muani, but the Premier League club had been tracking another target throughout the summer window.
Despite late interest from Aston Villa and Newcastle United, Tottenham secured Kolo Muani for the 2025-26 season. In addition, Spurs strengthened their squad further by outmaneuvering Chelsea to land PSG-linked talent Xavi Simons.
Nonetheless, Spurs also had their eyes on another PSG player. TEAMtalk’s Dean Jones reports that Tottenham made a late attempt to sign PSG midfielder Senny Mayulu this summer. PSG, however, made it clear he was not for sale, seeing him as a key part of their future.

Tottenham wasn’t the only Premier League club keen on Mayulu as TEAMtalk reports that Chelsea are among the clubs to have tracked Mayulu closely during his breakout.
Long gone are the days when PSG youth products are sold without being given a proper chance to succeed. Over the years, the Ligue 1 side have lost quality players way too early, and so Mayulu will have an opportunity at PSG before he considers searching for greener pastures.
