Leeds United visit Tottenham on Monday night with the relegation picture and fitness issues converging, as fresh injuries leave 10 out and three doubtful despite some key returns.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds could be mathematically safe by the eight pm kick-off if Arsenal win at third-bottom West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

With Wolves and Burnley already down, West Ham trail Leeds by seven points with three games left. Given their far inferior goal difference, even an Arsenal draw would leave Leeds effectively safe, though not mathematically. Daniel Farke has stressed the need to finish strongly.

Tottenham are out of the bottom three, only one point above West Ham, so the stakes are high.

Wilson Odobert suffered a left-knee ACL in February’s 2-1 loss to Newcastle United, while captain Cristian Romero sustained a knee injury in last month’s 1-0 defeat at Sunderland, both out for the season.

Xavi Simons ruptured his right ACL in last month’s 1-0 win at Wolves. He faces around eight months out, ending his season and World Cup hopes.

Mohammed Kudus, scorer and provider in October’s reverse fixture, has had a significant quad setback and may need surgery, so his season is over. Ben Davies fractured his left ankle against West Ham in January and had surgery. Dejan Kulusevski has not played since patella surgery last May, underwent further knee surgery in February and remains out of training, with De Zerbi hopeful he can still make the World Cup.
