Barcelona are feeling increasingly hopeful about Lamine Yamal’s availability for their crucial Copa del Rey clash against Atletico Madrid.
According to reports from MARCA, the club remains positive despite concerns over the youngster’s condition following a rough challenge in their recent match against Las Palmas.
Yamal did not take part in the team’s latest training session due to the heavy stamp he suffered on his left foot during the game against Las Palmas.
However, there is growing confidence within the squad that the talented winger will not only make the squad list but could even be in the starting XI.
Given the importance of this fixture, Barcelona are keen to have him available, and Yamal himself is eager to feature against Atletico Madrid.
Nevertheless, his final status remains uncertain, and the club will continue to assess him right up until the last moment before making a definitive decision.
The absence of Yamal from training was purely precautionary rather than an indication of a serious injury.

Despite his foot being left bloodied after aggressive tackles from Essugo and Alex Munoz, medical staff at the club do not believe there is any significant risk of long-term damage should he play.
The technical team will make a final call on his inclusion after further evaluation. As things stand, the likelihood of him being named in the squad and even starting the match appears high.
The teenage sensation is equally determined to feature. He has no interest in sitting out or being rested, as he views the upcoming Copa del Rey tie as a chance to make an impact.
A strong performance in this fixture could provide an extra confidence boost for the winger. Interestingly, despite facing Atletico Madrid twice in La Liga, he has yet to find the back of the net against Diego Simeone’s side.
This match presents an opportunity for him to change that and further cement his growing importance within the Barcelona squad.
