This summer, FC Bayern isn’t just looking to bring in a few new players to strengthen the first-team roster. There will also be some activity in the youth ranks. One player is increasingly drawing Bayern’s attention.

That player is Aron Vucic, who currently plays for FC Koper in Slovenia. The 15-year-old is also known in his home country as “Baby Haaland.” On the one hand, because his enormous height already makes him reminiscent of Haaland at such a young age, and on the other, because he boasts an extremely high goal-scoring rate.

Just recently, a Slovenian news site reported that the record champions are said to have expressed strong interest. Despite his young age, Vucic is reportedly already impressing on a regular basis against older players.

Friend: The Driving Force

On the “Bayern Insider” podcast, SportBILD editors Christian Falk and Julian Agardi discussed various rumors surrounding FC Bayern. Vucic, whom FC Koper is said to have recently signed to a long-term contract, was also a topic of discussion.

And indeed, according to the report, FC Bayern is interested in bringing him into the record champions’ youth system and developing him there. Christoph Freund, in particular, is said to be the driving force behind this; he has already personally scouted the player. His impression aligns with that of the scouting department: the offensive player could be a key player for the future.

Under Freund, the focus has shifted toward bringing more young players to the academy anyway. The Austrian, who serves as sporting director at FC Bayern, is considered to be very well-connected in the industry and has already managed to bring many exciting players to Salzburg in the past.

However, there is competition. Other European clubs, such as FC Barcelona and Juventus, are also reportedly keeping an eye on the 15-year-old.
