The first summer transfer window is now in full swing as clubs look to complete deals ahead of the deadline. Arsenal are reportedly set to make a bid for Benjamin Sesko, but are still being linked with Ollie Watkins, Viktor Gyokeres and Leroy Sane. However, Martin Zubimendi has now cast fresh doubt on his own switch to north London.
Bruno Fernandes is staying at Manchester United after opting to snub a lucrative move to Al-Hilal and he could be joined at Old Trafford by Bryan Mbeumo and Aleksandar Mitrovic who has emerged as a shock target for the club. Gary Neville has hailed Bruno Fernandes’ character and praised Manchester United's transfer business.
The Man Utd captain has snubbed a lucrative move to Al-Hilal in order to remain at Old Trafford, insisting he wants to stay playing at the highest level.
A move to Saudi Arabia would reportedly have been worth £700,000 a week tax-free and around £200million in total, in addition to netting United a transfer fee of £100m.
To turn down such a deal given the finances involved will only endear himself to the Man United faithful, according to Neville.

Arsenal fans have been given reason to panic over a deal for Martin Zubimendi following the midfielder’s interview with the Spanish media.
However, a report in the Athletic offers reassurance.
They insist Zubimendi is on his way to Arsenal and the reason for a delay is due to Real Sociedad expressing a preference for the deal to officially be announced next month for accounting reasons.

Arsenal are set to bank over £2.5million by Marquinhos joining Cruzeiro, writes Simon Collings.
The winger is currently on loan at the Brazilian club but he will join them permanently, with the deal including a sell-on clause for Arsenal.
Marquinhos joined the Gunners in the summer of 2022 from Sao Paulo after they beat Wolves to his signature.
The Brazilian scored his one and only goal for Arsenal in the first half of that season, finding the net in a 2-1 win over FC Zurich in the Europa League.
Marquinhos struggled for action, though, and he was loaned out to Norwich in January 2023 after making just one Premier League appearance for Arsenal.
The 22-year-old has been loaned out three more times since then, having spells at Nantes, Fluminense and, most recently, Cruzeiro.
Marquinhos joined Cruzeiro on loan in January of this year and the deal was due to run until December, which is when the season in Brazil ends.
The winger, however, is now all set to join Cruzeiro and end his time with Arsenal.

Marcus Rashford has reportedly emerged as a target for beaten Champions League finalists Inter Milan.
Rashford, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, is not expected to stay at Manchester United having fallen out of favour under Ruben Amorim.
He has been linked with a move to Barcelona, but The Mirror claim Inter are the latest team to register an interest.
However, there is a sticking point as the Serie A side want a loan deal whilst United are only interested in a full sale.

Rayan Cherki is being heavily linked with a move to Manchester City this summer.
Pep Guardiola is on the lookout for a Kevin De Bruyne replacement and appears to have settled on the Lyon playmaker after the club deemed a deal for Florian Wirtz to be too expensive.
That said, it doesn’t appear a deal for Cherki will be finalised any time soon as he is currently away on international duty with France ahead of their Nations League semi-final clash against Spain...

At last, a development in the Benjamin Sesko to Arsenal transfer saga!
Last week it was reported that the Gunners had opened concrete talks with RB Leipzig to sign the highly-rated striker.
Now it would appear that Arsenal are ready to make the next step.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, it looks like the north London outfit are about to lodge a formal bid for Sesko.
Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “So much legwork has been done on Benjamin Sesko. He has a variable release clause.
“At the moment it’s around €80m (£67m), but I think Arsenal would like to try to negotiate something a bit lower.”

Arsenal could yet have a chance to sign Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Nypan.
Aston Villa had emerged as the frontrunners to sign the 18-year-old, who was attracting interest from Arsenal and Girona in the January window.
Nypan is expected to leave Rosenborg this summer and they are thought to want around £10million.
Villa had been favourites to sign him, but latest reports claim there are ‘severe doubts’ over the deal, which could alert Arsenal and other interested parties.
