Thomas Tuchel talked about his latest squad that saw key players like Phil Foden, Jude Bellingham, and Jack Grealish all excluded.

After his announced squad, Tuchel talked about consistency especially after good performances in the last international break that included a 5-0 win away to Serbia.

Speaking about the Real Madrid midfielder, Tuchel said that the player "has not fully gathered his rhythm at Real Madrid" and wanted to be called up.

The German coach also emphasised that there was no personal issues with the trio's exclusion: "There is also no problem between me and Jack Grealish and me and Phil Foden."

Game time is important for Tuchel, with Myles Lewis-Skelly included in this group but his future in the team could be under threat if he is not a regular with Arsenal.

"Just being a good citizen in the camp won't be enough," the 52-year-old said. "He was part of a very good camp so he gets the credit for that."

Tuchel went on to emphasise the team's unity: "The last camp was only three and a half weeks ago and the team work and spirit was on the highest level. That is why we decided to invite the same group to this camp.

"There are players out who deserve to be with us and they can get back in through performance. This is the best and most straightforward decision."

Pressed on the matter of Bellingham: "Do I believe we are a stronger team with Jude? Yes."

Asked about his team's identity, Tuchel talked again about the big win over Serbia, saying his team looked like a 'Premier League team' and praised the 'brave approach' his team demonstrated.
