According to Superdeporte, Umar Sadiq led the way with seven in Valencia CF’s player ratings from La Cerámica.
José Copete erred for Villarreal’s first, Sadiq won the spot-kick for Largie Ramazani to convert, Arnaut Danjuma later missed a one-on-one, and Sadiq had a last-minute header.
Stole Dimitrievski, five, could do nothing with the goals and made a couple of saves. Unai Núñez, five and a half, was steady on the right. José Copete, five, was at fault on the opener but cleared off the line.
Eray Cömert took five and a half and brought the ball out cleanly. José Luis Gayà, five, offered more going forward as a wing-back but was exposed by Nicolas Pepe.
Guido Rodríguez, five, excelled without the ball and used his fouls well, then offered little until the late push. Filip Ugrinic, five, was busy without bite. Javi Guerra, five and a half, started for the injured Lucas Beltrán, quiet before the break then more assertive without end product.
Luis Rioja, five, ran relentlessly yet without reward. Ramazani, six, showed notable calm but his play lacked continuity. Sadiq was central to almost every attack and had a header at the end.
From the bench, Thierry Rendall struggled for three as attacks broke down. Danjuma, four, returned to whistles and shot down the middle when clean through. Hugo Duro, four, made no impact, while Jesús Vázquez, five and a half, robbed Mikautadze and carried play.
