Vegetti bids farewell to Vasco before Flamengo in Carioca

Vasco will be without forward Vegetti for Wednesday's Clássico dos Milhões against Flamengo, after he said goodbye to team-mates on Monday.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Vegetti, at the club since August 2023, has been sold to Cerro Porteño of Paraguay and will sign a three-year contract, so he will not face Flamengo.

Flamengo sit bottom of Group B with one point after drawing with Portuguesa and losing to Bangu and Volta Redonda.

Vasco have taken four points, beating Maricá 4-2 then drawing 0-0 with Nova Iguaçu across the opening two rounds.

The first Clássico dos Milhões of the 2026 season is at the Maracanã on Wednesday 21 in the third round, kick-off 21:30 Brasília time, with broadcast on Rede Globo and on Premiere pay-per-view.
