Gerard Moreno topped Villarreal’s ratings against Real Madrid, with several team-mates earning strong marks across the pitch.
According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Moreno, rated seven, was the standout while he was on the pitch, threading passes and creating chances. Luiz Júnior, also seven, stopped what he could, was secure under high balls and gave the defence confidence.
Pau Navarro, seven, delivered an assured display up against Vinícius, showing strength and anticipation. Juan Foyth, six, was tidy in build-up and organised the back line before going off injured in the 23rd minute. Renato Veiga, six, won his aerials and held his ground, though his distribution dipped at times.
Pedraza, seven, was combative and halted his opponents, and a conceded penalty did not spoil an otherwise sound outing. In midfield, Pape Gueye, six, started brightly and was close to scoring, and a rebound from him led to the 0-1. Dani Parejo, seven, used the ball with purpose and control until his 77th-minute withdrawal.
Buchanan, six, provided industry and direct running on the right but lacked precision in attack. Moleiro, six, produced intermittent flashes and a few efforts, short of his usual freshness. Mikautadze, five, offered smart movement but his passing and finishing were off.
From the bench, Rafa Marín, seven, was solid. Nico Pepe, five, appeared nervous, while Oluwaseyi, five, worked hard. Ayoze Pérez, six, was precise.
