Villarreal to run summer academy camp in Ecuador | OneFootball

Villarreal CF will expand its international footprint this summer with a youth football camp in Ecuador via Villarreal Academy.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the Villarreal CF Camp Ecuador 2026 will run from 20 July to seven August at Colegio Intisana in Quito.

The camp is open to boys and girls aged six to 20, offering an experience based on the club's official methodology and its recognised pathway for talent.

The aim is to share Villarreal's working model with young Ecuadorian players. Coaching will focus on holistic development, blending technical, tactical, physical and educational elements in an age-appropriate, competitive setting.

In the closing days, club coaches will be in Quito from three to seven August to lead targeted sessions and explain the principles that underpin the academy.

Every participant will also receive an individual technical assessment to outline strengths and areas for improvement.

The project is delivered with Global Sport Talent, an Ecuadorian organisation that develops national and international sports programmes, linking local talent to a respected professional structure in Spanish football.

It is inclusive, welcoming male and female players and aiming to provide equal opportunities in a safe, professional environment.
