Flamengo have agreed the signing of Lucas Paquetá, according to Coluna Do Fla. The Flamengo academy graduate posted a farewell to West Ham on social media, prompting messages from Vini Jr, Pedro and Danilo.

Vini Jr, now at Real Madrid, told him to come home. Pedro wrote "Paque!" with fire and heart emojis. Danilo replied "Oi" followed by a heart.

Paquetá is scheduled to fly from England to Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday 28. He is expected to land in Brazil on Thursday 29. Flamengo fans are preparing a major welcome.

Flamengo have offered €42 million, approximately R$260 million, to West Ham for the transfer. The English club accepted and will receive the fee in instalments until the end of 2028.

While the deal progresses, Flamengo face São Paulo at Morumbis on Wednesday 28 in the first round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. Kick-off is 21:30 Brasília time. The match will be on Rede Globo free-to-air and on Premiere pay-per-view.
