Virginia addresses rumours of child with Vini Jr, ex-Flamengo | OneFootball

Virginia, the Grande Rio drum queen, has denied she is pregnant by forward Vini Jr, a Flamengo academy product, after speculation followed a rehearsal where her costume covered her midriff.

"People make things up. It is impossible for me to be pregnant. I have an IUD in and I am not even doing anything. I have not seen my boyfriend for a month. It was probably some abdominal strain and there was even a crab on the costume," she told UOL.

Her outfit features a mock crab fixed to her stomach, part of Grande Rio’s storyline celebrating mangrove culture, which explained the prop. Fans had pointed to apparent swelling, prompting the rumours.

Had the theory been true, the forward would have become a father for the first time. Virginia already has three children with ex-husband Zé Felipe.

She is set to parade on Tuesday 17, with Grande Rio the penultimate school on the Marquês de Sapucaí. Vini Jr will not be present, as Real Madrid face Benfica in the Champions League that day.
