Vitor Pereira says transfer talk around Elliot Anderson and Morgan Gibbs-White will not distract Nottingham Forest from their season objectives, with Premier League survival and a Europa League tie commanding attention.
According to Nottingham Post, both players have been linked as the summer window nears, with Manchester United said to be keen on the pair. Anderson has also been mentioned with Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea, while Gibbs-White has attracted interest from Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.
Pereira said he was not hearing the latest United rumours and stressed the squad are working every day toward their target. He described Gibbs-White as a captain and a top player with spirit, and said the same of Anderson. He added that he took the job because of the quality in the group and that they must show it through daily work and by building a strong team.
Anderson has become a key figure for Forest and an England regular since joining from Newcastle United in summer 2024. He said he is ignoring speculation, focusing on performances and giving everything for the club. He spoke alongside Pereira before Thursday night's Europa League play-off second leg against Fenerbahce at the City Ground, eight pm kick-off.
The 23-year-old reflected on two significant years at Forest, saying he has matured on and off the pitch and thanked the club for the platform to play. Leaving his boyhood club and hometown was a major step in his career, one he felt he needed to take, and he is happy with how it has worked out.
