Vasco are preparing a mid-window reset, pursuing defensive additions while moving on high-cost or out of favour players, and Vitória have emerged as a leading suitor with Tchê Tchê the prime target.
Vitória have concrete interest in Tchê Tchê to add experience for Série A and, according to PaponaColina, Vasco would not oppose a departure and are willing to negotiate.
On the Rio side the view is pragmatic. With academy midfielder JP pushing through and others settled in the role, and after a serious injury last year, Tchê Tchê is no longer untouchable.
His exit would ease the wage bill and open room for targeted arrivals, notably a left-back. If Vitória table a reasonable offer or a fair salary share, Vasco would not block his release.
Vitória also retain long-standing interest in forward David, a product of their academy. He is useful for Vasco but is considered negotiable, especially if a purchase or a loan with full wages is proposed.
Midfielder Hugo Moura is another potential departure. Despite a good 2024, he has not nailed down a starting place and has faced criticism since last year. Vasco have placed him on the negotiable list and are open to proposals.
The exits form part of a broader plan led by Admar Lopes and Pedrinho to refresh Fernando Diniz’s squad for 2026, raising competition and hunger. Trimming numbers would give the coach a leaner, focused group and more minutes for youngsters. Talks with Vitória are ongoing and the coming days will decide who stays and who goes.
