Vote for Silva and Toure to enter Premier League Hall of Fame

David Silva and Yaya Toure are amongst the 15 players nominated for this year's round of voting to join the Premier League Hall of Fame.

The iconic City pair are amongst the 15 nominees for the honour, with the two successful names to be announced at a special event on 4 November.

Voting is now open and will close on Monday 15 September.

The public vote will then be presented to the current members of the the Premier League Hall of Fame, who will then cast their votes to decide who is inducted this year.

Should Silva and Toure be successful, they would join the likes of Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany amongst those recognised.

Silva made 309 Premier League appearances over 10 seasons, scoring 60 goals and laying on 93 assists as he lifted the title four times.

The Spaniard was also named in the PFA Team of the Year in three campaigns and is now celebrated with a statue outside the Etihad Stadium.

Toure played 230 games in the Premier League, scoring 59 goals and creating 32 for his team-mates. He won the league on three occasions before leaving in 2018.

An imposing but elegant midfielder, Toure was honoured in the PFA Team of the Year twice.

Andy Cole, Frank Lampard, Peter Schmeichel and Patrick Vieira complete the list of those who have played for City and are currently in the Hall of Fame.

Former City striker Robbie Fowler is also on this year's shortlist.
