Schlager, Ratkov, Kjaergaard or Lainer?

The month could have ended better, but August still had plenty to offer - not only for our Red Bulls. The decision on which of the nominees will win our Player of the Month award will be down to the fans, as always.

Alex Schlager

Our keeper kept us in the Champions League qualifier against Club Brugge for so long with his saves. Alex has been there whenever we needed him in Austrian football too, keeping two clean sheets - with a deserved international call-up following.

Petar Ratkov

Having recently turned 22, the big striker gave himself the best possible sort of presents. The Serbian has scored in each of our last four league matches - and netted a brace against FC Blau-Weiß Linz, while also scoring in the cup. The goals are no coincidence with Petar becoming a real penalty-box pest both in the air and on the ground.

Maurits Kjaergaard

The Dane has shown so many times what an important focal point he is in our play - and how much quality he offers from set pieces. Three assists and a goal against GAK amount to four goal involvements in the month.

Stefan Lainer

Leader, worker and creator: Stevie has given everything we hoped to get from our returning summer signing. He has been a steady presence on the right flank and has created danger with his precise crosses.He scored himself against Hartberg and provided three assists.
