Wagner Leonardo attracting CSKA interest, Grêmio seek at least seven million euros

Grêmio defender Wagner Leonardo is drawing interest from an undisclosed Brazilian club and teams abroad, with Russian side CSKA among them. A Saudi Arabian club are also monitoring him.

According to Globo.com, Grêmio have not received a recent offer. Should any interest be formalised, the board will assess the terms, with a preference to sell only for at least seven million euros, R$ 44.1 million.

While no offer has arrived, Wagner Leonardo remains in the plans and has been a starter for coach Luís Castro.

Last year Al-Arabi lodged a bid worth US$ seven million, R$ 37.3 million, which the then administration led by president Alberto Guerra rejected.

Wagner Leonardo joined Grêmio in February 2025 from Vitória, with the club committing to pay US$ four point five million, R$ 25.7 million at the time.
