Barcelona star Lamine Yamal was on Thursday put through a traditional round of slaps in Spanish national team training.

This comes after the 18-year-old marked his return to full group activities on the grass.

Wide-man Lamine has of course spent the best part of the last two months on the sidelines, owing to a hamstring injury suffered whilst in action for Barcelona.

The youngster has in turn been put through weeks of intense treatment, with the goal of being fit for Spain’s opening fixture at the World Cup.

And as alluded to above, on Thursday, Lamine took a major step towards precisely that.

Both the Blaugrana prodigy and close friend Nico Williams marked their return to the training pitch this morning, alongside the rest of Luis de la Fuente’s star-studded Spanish squad.

And as is tradition, to mark the development, the attackers were subjected to a ‘tunnel of slaps’ courtesy of their teammates:
