Lautaro Martinez Scored an Early Opener

It only took the Nerazzurri two minutes to confirm their superiority, taking an early lead, much to the delight of the San Siro home crowd. Alessandro Bastoni forced Gustav Isaksen to retreat into his own area before bullying him off the ball. The defender then found Lautaro Martinez in the box, who sent an unstoppable shot towards the top corner.

Inter almost added to their lead when Nicolo Barella set up Petar Sucic with a delightful cross, but the Croatian could not hit the target on the volley. After the interval, Barella combined with Lautaro, but the captain sent his shot wayward. Nevertheless, the same duo then played a part in the buildup for the second goal.

Ange Bonny Secured Inter Win with Second Goal

The Argentinian striker freed up Federico Dimarco, who sent a delicate square ball past Ivan Provedel and Alessio Romagnoli, allowing Ange Bonny to poach it home. At the other end of the pitch, Lazio came close on a couple of occasions, but Mario Gila’s header didn’t fully cross the line, while Luca Pellegrini couldn’t beat Yann Sommer from close range.
