Footage of the frustrated reaction of Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. to news of his impending substitution during the club’s latest outing has come to the fore online.

Real Madrid of course marked their return to action on Saturday evening.

Turning focus back towards matters on the domestic front, Los Blancos welcomed Espanyol to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash.

Vinícius for his part featured from the off in the matchup, and went on to impress from his berth on the left wing.

Late in proceedings at the Santiago Bernabéu, with his side in possession of a 2-0 advantage, however, the Brazilian was informed by manager Xabi Alonso that he would be making way for compatriot Rodrygo.

And safe to say, news of as much did not go down overly well with Vinícius himself…
