One Chelsea player has come out and reacted after being on the losing side in a 3-1 defeat to Leeds United last night.

Chelsea were not at the races at all, but the credit is full deserved for Leeds who climbed out of the bottom three with that huge win for them. They were better than Chelsea and fully deserved the win on the night.

Sources: Blues player was supposed to START the game for Chelsea v Leeds last night but didn’t come on until late!

Chelsea’s players just didn’t really turn up in all honesty, and it was a bizarre starting line up picked by manager Enzo Maresca as well, pretty much using his entire second string squad.

Leeds came out and just wanted it more, and this led to former club captain John Terry coming out with a bit of a rant about how Chelsea performed last night, or more accurately, didn’t perform last night!

And for once, even Gary Neville had Chelsea fans agreeing with him during his analysis during the game last night when he was on commentary for Sky Sports.

Pedro Neto, who was bought on at half time to try and rescue Chelsea, managed to get one goal back but it ended up being in vain.

He has reacted to the defeat via X, and says:

“They were better than us at everything tonight – it’s difficult to take. We have to learn from that. We have to clear our minds because it happens. Sometimes this happens, and we have a bad day. Today we have to take responsibility, all of us.

“Sometimes this happens. We are human. We’ve had a really good month; it’s just a bad day. If you ask the players, everyone wants to win every game, but it can happen.

“We have to learn from this. Now it’s time to turn our focus to Bournemouth and setting things right on Saturday.”
