Leeds United visit West Ham on the final day seeking 50 points, but fresh setbacks leave three out and seven doubts, with a star back. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, both camps are managing fitness issues before Sunday’s four pm kick-off.
Third-bottom West Ham could be relegated by kick-off if fourth-bottom Tottenham win their game in hand at Chelsea on Tuesday. Given goal difference, even a Spurs point would realistically consign the Hammers before Leeds arrive.
Leeds’ safety was sealed with three games left after Arsenal’s 1-0 win at West Ham last weekend. Daniel Farke’s side drew 1-1 at Tottenham on Monday, then beat Brighton 1-0 on Sunday to reach 47 points in 14th.
For West Ham, Adama Traore has missed the last two matches with a quadriceps problem, he was ruled out of the Newcastle trip and remains in recovery. Lukasz Fabianski has not played a first-team match this season because of a back issue, his only outing came in an under-21s FEL Trophy tie against MK Dons in September.
For Leeds, Facundo Buonanotte missed Tottenham with a hamstring problem and was ineligible to face parent club Brighton, his availability for the finale is unclear. Jayden Bogle also has a hamstring issue and was still unavailable for Brighton.
Gabi Gudmundsson has been absent since a late hamstring injury in the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea, with no return date. Noah Okafor remains out with a calf problem, raising doubts for Sunday.
