Details of the release clause included in the new contract signed by Fermín López at Barcelona have come to the fore online.

This comes amid confirmation that the 22-year-old’s exit clause has not changed.

Midfielder Fermín is of course fresh off committing his long-term future to Spanish champions Barcelona.

Amid what has been a stellar stretch of recent individual form, the youngster was rewarded with a new-and-improved deal on Friday.

The understanding is that Fermín has seen a significant increase in wages when compared to his previous deal in Catalunya’s capital.

As alluded to above, though, one other aspect of the Spanish international’s contract has remained the same.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘The club and player have reached an agreement until 2031, which includes an improved salary, but his release clause remains at the €500 million it was before.’

Fermín will for his part be hopeful of celebrating his new Blaugrana terms with another impactful performance for Hansi Flick’s troops against Elche on Saturday.
