Elland Road will see 20 former Leeds United players return next season, with receptions likely to vary in a stadium that rarely hides its feelings.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, ex-Whites are due back with Brentford, Crystal Palace, Manchester United, Tottenham and Coventry. Bournemouth, Arsenal and newly-promoted Hull City also visit.
Jaidon Anthony visits with Brentford on August 30. He spent 2023/24 on loan at Leeds, then produced eight goals and two assists for Burnley last season before a move worth about £20m.
Eddie Nketiah and Crystal Palace arrive on September 19. His 2019/20 loan was cut short after limited minutes, and he left Arsenal for Palace in a £30m deal last summer, where regular football has remained elusive.
Karl Darlow, now at Manchester United, returns on October 17 after becoming the first player in 22 years to swap Leeds for Manchester on a free. He was first-choice last season, and it was understood he could not be guaranteed the same status going forward.
Tottenham visit on November 7 with Djed Spence and Archie Gray. Spence’s 2023/24 loan ended early under Daniel Farke, yet he has since revived his Spurs career and earned an England World Cup call-up. Academy graduate Gray joined in a £40m move in 2024 and is still developing, with first-team minutes limited.
Coventry City come on November 28 with Matt Grimes, who played seven Championship games on loan in 2016/17 and captained Coventry to promotion last season.
