yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk notes that Transfermarkt’s current ‘market value’ charts rank the Premier League’s leading names, setting the context for where Leeds United’s players sit after captain Ethan Ampadu agreed a new four-year contract.

Leeds successfully navigated their first season back in the Premier League. Chairman Paraag Marathe has said the club can only call themselves established after surviving the first three seasons back. Daniel Farke’s side finished 14th, above Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest, eight points clear of the drop.

West Ham ultimately went down with Burnley and Wolves. Championship winners Coventry City, runners-up Ipswich Town and play-off victors Hull City come up for 2026-27.

Transfermarkt lists Erling Haaland at €200m for Manchester City, with Rayan Cherki next at €90m. Arsenal’s top name is Declan Rice at €120m, ahead of Bukayo Saka on €110m. For Chelsea, Cole Palmer and Moises Caicedo are €100m each, with Enzo Fernandez next at €90m.

Liverpool’s most valuable are Dominik Szoboszlai and Florian Wirtz at €100m apiece, with Alexander Isak next at €85m. Aston Villa’s leader is Morgan Rogers on €90m, followed by Amadou Onana on €45m. Newcastle United are headed by Sandro Tonali at €80m, with Bruno Guimaraes next at €70m.

These figures shape the early pecking order for 2026-27 and frame the competition Leeds will face.
