‘Who helped him?’ – Barcelona left ‘stunned’ by Lionel Messi’s Camp Nou visit | OneFootball

Those behind the scenes at La Liga giants Barcelona were left nothing short of shocked by developments at the club’s Camp Nou stadium in the early hours of Monday.

The name of legendary frontman Messi has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the day to date.

This comes after the Argentine unveiled a series of photos across his social media platforms, of himself back at the newly-reopened Spotify Camp Nou.

After making the trip to Spain ahead of a training camp with the Argentine national team, Messi took advantage of the opportunity to pay a visit to his former stomping grounds.

And as much, it has since been revealed, came as a complete surprise to those in a position of power at Barcelona.

In fact, many only found out about the visit upon coming across the photos online on Monday morning.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘They investigated how he was able to access the Spotify Camp Nou and who helped him do it.’

And this investigation confirmed that Messi showed up to the ground completely unannounced, before being granted entry by the Limak staff – responsible for the reconstruction process.
