Rafiu Durosinmi looks set for a move to the EFL but in which direction is yet to be determined with many clubs monitoring the forward's progress
Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi has received plenty of interest across England from the Championship and League One.
With the January transfer window less than two months away, the competition is heating up when it comes to scouting talent in this country, as well as overseas.
The winter months, combined with a busy fixture schedule on the horizon, mean that now is the time for clubs to seek further reinforcements for the second half of the season, which could well prove to be the difference between promotion, relegation, and everything in-between.
The EFL is unpredictable at the best of times, and is known for being a hub where stars are born and players break through. One man that could do just that is Viktoria Plzen striker Rafiu Durosinmi, who has been drawing attention from as many as three second tier clubs as well as in League One.
It was revealed via journalist Pete O'Rouke, that the Nigerian forward has been subject to transfer links from the Championship trio of Derby County, Hull City and Oxford United, plus Huddersfield Town in League One.
Having got off to a flying start to the season in the Czech league, that could be cut short if the 22-year-old was to get a deal over the line with one of the aforementioned clubs who are interested in receiving his services.

Durosinmi has been in hot form this season as he has already bagged himself five league goals in 14 appearances for Viktoria Plzen and looks to be one to watch for the future, only being 22 years of age.
However, even in his early professional career, it hasn't always been plain sailing for the striker as injury woes have been a common theme for over a year. Two ACL injuries in each knee kept Durosinmi out for 15 months, but since returning he has been fit and firing.
Obviously, his injury record will be a concern for those EFL clubs interested. However, when on the pitch, it's no secret of the qualities he possesses, and as shown by four clubs chasing his signature, they are confident that he can translate his form into the second tier of English football, it's just a case of retaining match fitness.
With the Nigerian's contract with Plzen set to expire in June 2026, the Czech club will for sure want to ship on the forward while his stock is high, as it is likely that Durosinmi will want to move on to pastures new and potentially test himself in the highly contested Championship or League One.
As the final six months of Durosinmi's contract dawns, the striker could be available for a lesser fee of £5.7m in January, as opposed to letting their star man depart the club on a free transfer in half a year's time. This has, unsurprisingly, peaked the interest of a few EFL clubs who could benefit from attacking reinforcements and an out-and-out goalscorer. The Nigerian, without a doubt, fits that profile.

As well as proving that he can perform in the Czech league, Durosinmi is no stranger to performing on the biggest stage of all in club competition. After kicking off his Plzen career in the 2022/23 season, the striker got his first taste of UEFA competition by featuring eight times in their Conference League run where he contributed to three goals.
The following year, a step-up to the Europa League didn't phase the at the time, 21-year-old, as he scored two goals and provided two assists in four games. Fast-forward to now, and as well as the five goals he's got in the league, he has notched four in Champions League qualifying and the Europa League, League phase as well as another two in the MOL Cup.
With it being the case that, more often than not, Durosinmi scores every time he takes to the pitch, it's no surprise that Derby, Hull, Oxford and Huddersfield are queuing up in time for January.
The striker is 6ft 3in which emphasises his case that he would be a force to be reckoned with in the Championship. Especially for a team like Derby who already have some powerful attackers like Carlton Morris and Patrick Agyemang, the prosects of adding Durosinmi to the mix could prove to be a scary sight for opposition defences.
So too is the case for Hull, who have used Oli McBurnie as a target man in the early stages this season as a source of goals. Durosinmi adding competition for the Scotsman would give Sergej Jakirovic a healthy headache. That, combined with the in-form Joe Gelhardt being the creative spark, could be an exciting prospect for Tigres fans, although their transfer embargo is a hurdle to overcome.
As for Oxford, their striker Will Lankshear has been in decent form this season and would be a hard man to replace. However, Gary Rowett has placed a heavy reliance on youth in forward areas, so a player like Durosinmi could suit the chemistry of the manager's side.
For Huddersfield, the signing of the Nigerian could be viewed as a long-shot not only because of the £5.7m price tag which wouldn't come cheap for a side in the third tier, but also due to the teams the Terriers are up against in the market. If they are able to fight off the interest from their Championship competitors, Durosinmi would for sure be a handful in League One and could be the difference in Huddersfield gaining promotion back to the second tier.
