Why Lautaro Martinez’s latest comments have caused a controversy at Inter | OneFootball

Serie A side Inter have made it clear that they have some problems regarding striker Lautaro Martinez’s interview with France Football, which was released yesterday.

Corriere dello Sport report today that and clarify that when Simone Inzaghi managed the Champions League final last season, he had not found an agreement with Al Hilal. They firmly believe that this had no bearing on the damaging result against Paris Saint-Germain.

Martinez, in his interview tried to indicate the same, revealing that the players were ‘oblivious’ to whatever was going on behind the scenes.

France Football mistranslated the quotes from Spanish as saying: “At that point, the coach had told us he had an offer and that he was leaving. So we were oblivious to those rumors, focused on all the objectives we had.”

Inter contacted France Football and asked them to change the translation to better reflect what had happened. The word ‘never’ was removed from the translation and the Inter’s communications team had it added to the published text.

This was done to make sure that the versions of the story at Inter and at Martinez’s end ccorroborated and there were no discrepancies.
