Talented Manchester United duo Tyler Fletcher and Jack Fletcher are turning heads at the club, with one reportedly very close to breaking into the first team.
Jack and Tyler, the twin sons of United legend Darren Fletcher, have enjoyed meteoric rises since joining the club from Manchester City’s academy in the summer of 2023.
The pair spent nine years in City’s youth system before making the jump to United. The Red Devils forked out £1.25m to land them.
They’ve impressed in the youth system and are now regulars at Under-21 level. They signed their first professional contracts in April last year.
Jack and Tyler have impressed with their midfield displays, and it’s thought they could be close to a first-team breakthrough.
Last month, a report covered by The Peoples Person revealed that Jack in particular left a lasting impression on Ruben Amorim and his coaching staff. Now, the Daily Mail have revealed just why the two starlets are on everyone’s lips at Old Trafford.
The Daily Mail say about Tyler, “Staff around the first-team set-up speak highly of Tyler’s temperament and personality. He continues to be underrated from the outside but he is one of the most consistent high performers coming through at United.”
Tyler has primarily operated as a deep-lying pivot shielding the defence, though he is equally effective in a box-to-box role.
On Jack, the newspaper notes that while he isn’t as vocal as his brother, he leads by example on the pitch.
“First-team sources speak highly of Jack, who is seen as the closest to breaking into the first team group alongside Lacey at this present moment.”
“If Jack Fletcher does not make his first-team debut at some point this season it would be a huge disappointment given the direction his performances are trending.”
It’s understood that questions had been raised over Jack’s fitness last season, but those concerns have now been firmly put to rest.
