Sunderland unveiled the 2026/27 away kit on Friday, but there was no goalkeeper shirt alongside it.
According to Sunderland Echo, the club have changed approach this season, no longer pairing goalkeeper kits with each outfield release. The keeper range will have its own launch some time in July and feature a distinct design, separate from the home, away and third drops.
The pink and black away strip begins a multi-year collaboration with the Elvis Presley estate, with this first edition celebrating his early breakthrough.
The shirt is on sale without a front-of-shirt sponsor while talks continue over a deal for 2026/27. Last season’s one-year agreement with Asian gambling firm W88 cannot be renewed or extended, with a Premier League ban on front-of-shirt gambling sponsors coming into force this summer.
Interim CEO Tom Burwell, working with chief commercial officer Scott McCubbin, has been running the search for a new partner and is confident the club will secure improved terms on last season’s W88 deal.
The away shirt will remain sponsor-free for supporters throughout 2026/27, though once a new partner is announced fans will be able to have the logo added at club shops.
