The 48-nation tournament runs from 11 June to 19 July in the United States, Mexico and Canada. The 57-year-old will leave his post after the competition.

France face Côte d’Ivoire on 4 June in Nantes and Northern Ireland on 8 June in Lille, then head to a Boston base on the east coast.

Akliouche first reported to Clairefontaine in September. Since then, eight months and four camps have brought seven caps, two starts including one competitive, one goal and two assists.

Called up in March, he aimed to seize a final chance by showing the coach what he can add. He started the 3-1 friendly win over Colombia, teeing up Marcus Thuram and sparking the third.

Known for dribbling and combination play, he has also embraced defensive work at Monaco under Adi Hütter then Sébastien Pocognoli. His season included three goals and six assists between early February and early April, seven goals and six assists overall.
