With the domestic season over, Midlands clubs are moving on summer business. According to ExpressAndStar.com, Wolves, West Brom and Aston Villa face key calls on loans, contracts and targets.

Rangers are not set to extend Nasser Djiga’s loan from Wolves after a difficult finish in Scotland, and will look elsewhere. Fer Lopez could instead be kept at Molineux for the Championship campaign after a stint back at Celta Vigo, with both player and club previously signalling a wish to stay in La Liga.

Wolves are among clubs said to be looking at out-of-contract winger Solly March. It has since been confirmed the Brighton wide man will depart and become a free agent.

At West Brom, loanee Charlie Taylor, 32, made 20 starts and eight substitute outings as Albion avoided the drop. His season-long loan has ended and he is not expected to receive a new deal.

Josh Maja has a contract offer on the table. He made 43 appearances last season, scoring six, having hit 10 in 16 early in the previous campaign, and both Celtic and Rangers are credited with interest.

Arsenal are said to have held preliminary talks over Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers, who helped the club return to the Champions League and win the Europa League. Any move could be worth up to £116m, while Valencia are increasing their interest in Villa’s Andres Garcia, who has eight starts and 10 substitute appearances since January 2025.
