The match officials for Leeds United’s Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon have been announced, with Anthony Taylor set to take charge at Molineux.
The experienced referee has enjoyed a busy start to the new campaign where he has been in the middle six encounters so far, four of which were in the top-flight.
No stranger to the big occasion, the 46-year-old has officiated several finals throughout his career both at domestic and international level and during the week, he oversaw as Dutch powerhouses PSV Eindhoven faced Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise in the UEFA Champions League.
Throughout the Cheshire-based referee’s 406-game career in the Premier League, Taylor has taken charge of 10 Leeds matches in England’s top division, alongside 12 other encounters in the Championship, League One, FA Cup and the EFL Trophy.
Taylor has refereed 31 matches involving Wolves, with the Midlands outfit winning 10 times, drawing six and falling to defeat in 15 games. Most recently, he officiated Wolves’ 4-2 victory over Tottenham at Molineux last campaign.
