Crystal Palace and West Ham United played out a goalless draw that means Wolverhampton Wanderers are relegated.
The home side should have taken the lead with 20 minutes gone in the game when Tyrick Mitchell sent in a cross from the left that fell to Brennan Johnson but the forward fluffed his lines with his header going wide of the target.
Johnson came closer shortly after that when his curling effort that just went wide of the post.
West Ham grew into the game as it went on and would have taken the lead in the 38th minute had Maxence Lacroix not made a goalline clearance to deny Taty Castellanos scoring from a bicycle kick.
That chance came from a Dena Henderson mistake but he more than made up for it just before the break when the goalkeeper made a reaction save to keep Kostas Mavropanos' header out.
The Eagles improved in the second half with Oliver Glasner making a triple change on the hour mark when Daichi Kamada, Ismaila Sarr, and Jean-Philippe Mateta all came on.
Two of those players were involved when Palace had the ball in the net. Mateta set up Sarr to volley in the 82nd minute but the goal was ruled out for a handball from Mateta.
In the end, the points were shared in a goalless draw which also sealed Wolverhampton Wanderers fate. Wolves are now the first team to be relegated this season with a point for West Ham taking them two points clear of Tottenham Hotspur in the relegation zone.
