Wolves Women add Filis and Olding in double swoop | OneFootball

Wolves Women have signed midfielders Mel Filis and Hollie Olding, their third and fourth additions of the summer, as preparations continue for a first professional campaign in WSL2.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, Filis joins after leaving Italian side Sassuolo. The midfielder made four senior appearances for Arsenal and has more than 80 games across London Bees, West Ham and Charlton. She received her first senior Republic of Ireland call-up in February 2025.

Head coach Dan McNamara first took notice when Wolves faced West Ham in the FA Cup in January 2023, and felt Filis showed outstanding potential that day. He said the chance to sign her three years on was an easy call given her experience in England and abroad. McNamara highlighted her technical quality and the impact she could make on and off the pitch.

Olding, formerly of Nottingham Forest, also arrives as part of the summer rebuild.

McNamara described Olding as a long-admired opponent and was pleased to finally bring her in for the club’s next step. Having already moved from tier three to the professional league with Nottingham Forest, he believes she can help team-mates through that transition while adding significant technical quality.
