Wrexham are already making plans for the summer transfer window

Wrexham are in contention for promotion to the Premier League this season in what is their first year at EFL Championship level since 1982.

Wrexham are pushing for a number of young players to join the club in the summer in a bid to bolster their academy system.

According to TEAMtalk, the Red Dragons are eyeing moves for Matheos Ferreira, Sonny Finch, Jenson Jones and Finn Geragusian in the upcoming transfer market.

Ferreira is currently plying his trade with Newcastle United, where he has yet to break into Eddie Howe’s first team plans.

The 17-year-old has featured at underage level for the Magpies, and the Championship side have reportedly been monitoring his development over the last year.

Middlesbrough’s Finch is also on the club’s radar, as they look to bolster their young options for next season.

Meanwhile, the Sunderland duo of Jones and Geragusian have both earned reputations as exciting young talents in the Black Cats’ academy system, particularly Geragusian.

The 18-year-old has not yet featured for Régis Le Bris’ side, although he has been called up to the first team, and he is now attracting the attention of Wrexham.

The Red Dragons are also hopeful of completing a permanent move for Manchester City’s Issa Kabore, who has spent the season on loan at the club.
