Young Atlas Lions roar into the world eleven!

Four players from Morocco's U20 squad have been included in the team of the tournament for the 2025 U20 World Cup, whose final stages wrapped up between Sunday and Monday night. The “Atlas Lion Cubs” were crowned world champions after their 2-0 victory over Argentina in the final.The French outlet Foot Mercato revealed its tournament best eleven, based on players’ stats and individual performances throughout the competition. The inclusion of four Moroccans is a testament to the outstanding run of the young Atlas Lions.This selection features Yassine Khalifi, midfielder for Sporting Charleroi (Belgium), Yassine Jassim, winger for USL Dunkerque (France), Othmane Maamma, forward for Watford (England) who was named the tournament’s best player, as well as Yasser Zbaïri, center-forward for Famalicão (Portugal).
