According to BuLi News, Thomas Kessler now believes Said El Mala will remain at 1. FC Köln, with no transfer yet in place.

The 19-year-old has been linked with a move for months, with Brentford FC and Brighton & Hove Albion among those interested.

“There have been one or two offers, which have also become public. But none of them resulted in a transfer, so I firmly believe that he will play for FC this season,” said Kessler.

It has been reported that €50 million would be enough to persuade Köln to sell El Mala.
