FLW takes a look at the ten players set to miss Middlesbrough vs Millwall on Tuesday evening

Middlesbrough host Millwall at the Riverside on Tuesday evening, as Kim Hellberg's side look to go top of the Championship table with a victory, whilst Alex Neil's travelling Lions will be desperate to get back to winning ways.

Middlesbrough have the chance to go top of the Championship table on Tuesday night with a victory against last season's fellow play-off semi-finalists Millwall.

Boro, after undergoing what is widely regarded as one of the best transfer windows of all time, predictably find themselves towards the top of the table, and could make it five wins from seven should they emerge victorious against Millwall in midweek, which would take them above West Ham United to the top of the table.

Millwall, meanwhile, are undergoing a huge injury crisis at the moment, as results and performances have been drastically affected due to their array of absences, losing four of their last five games across all competitions.

In fact, every single one of the ten predicted absences from this fixture comes from the away side, with Boro surely going into this one as heavy favourites, as FLW takes a look at each player set to miss this midweek clash.

Casper De Norre

Belgian midfielder Casper De Norre was forced off just before half-time in Millwall's 3-0 home defeat against Wrexham on the other week, with Neil saying: "It's not good. Senior players know their bodies and he's definitely felt a pop of some kind."

Having been out of the matchday squads since, it's highly unlikely that will be changing for this one.

Josh Coburn

Former Middlesbrough striker Josh Coburn, who made a permanent switch to Bermondsey in the summer of 2025 for around £5 million, has consistently been the subject of injury woes since he arrived at The Den.

The striker, alongside De Norre, was also withdrawn from the loss against Wrexham, coming off just after the hour mark, with Neil revealing he doesn't expect the forward to be back for at least a 'week or two' following his injury; given his medical history, it's unlikely he will be rushed back for this one, even with their treatment room piling up.

Lukas Jensen

Danish goalkeeper Lukas Jensen has been bitterly unfortunate with injuries over the past year or so, having suffered an Achilles injury towards the end of the 2024/25 season, ruling him entirely out of action for the following campaign.

Now, after two appearances this year, Jensen will now be out for a 'considerable period' after pulling his quad in training.

Tristan Crama

French defender Tristan Crama was a revelation for Millwall last season, excelling at both right-back and centre-back throughout the season.

However, the 2025/26 Championship Team of the Season alumni has undergone surgery on his ankle twice in three months, and is not expected to be returning to action anytime soon.

Alfie Doughty

Alfie Doughty has failed to replicate the form he proved capable of showing during his spell with Luton Town ever since joining Millwall in the summer of 2025 from the Hatters.

The wing-back, also capable of playing as left-back, suffered a hamstring injury midway through August, and having yet to make an appearance this season, is not expected to make his first in this away fixture.

Mathis Servais

Belgian midfielder Mathis Servais has yet to make his Millwall debut after a hamstring injury suffered in pre-season has kept him out of action ever since his £3 million move from KV Mechelen in the summer.

The Lions will be as keen as ever to see the 21-year-old return to full fitness given their injury crisis, but isn't expected to get on the pitch just yet.

Luke Cundle

Former Wolverhampton Wanderers, Swansea City, and Stoke City midfielder Luke Cundle went down towards the end of the Lions' 5-1 thrashing at Southampton the other weekend.

Being withdrawn after just half an hour, Cundle hasn't appeared in a matchday squad since after having to be stretched off.

Massimo Luongo

Australian midfielder Massimo Luongo had initially been released by Millwall in the summer, but penned a fresh deal to remain with the club despite rupturing his ACL back in October last year.

Still on the road to recovery, the former Ipswich Town and Queens Park Rangers player will be in no rush to get back on the field just yet despite Millwall's injury crisis, and is expected to miss this one.

Mihailo Ivanovic

Serbian striker Mihailo Ivanovic enjoyed a solid debut year at Millwall after joining from Vojvodina in the summer of 2024, but had a bit more of a quiet one last campaign.

The 21-year-old fractured his metatarsal back in July following his return for pre-season, as Neil played down a return in early September last month, stating that hope was "a little bit optimistic at the time.

Ryan Leonard

Veteran full-back Ryan Leonard started in Millwall's 2-0 away win on the opening day against Bristol City, but has been absent from the squad ever since after picking up a hamstring injury in training.

When asked about how severe a lay-off it was and when he'd be back, Neil said, "It's not going to be soon."
