UEFA have published Arsenal’s provisional squad list for Wednesday’s UEFA Youth League opener against Napoli, with new signings Axel Donczew and Igor Tyjon both included.
Tyjon completed his long-awaited transfer to Arsenal from Blackburn Rovers in late August, signing professional terms with his new club and taking the number 64.
Donczew then joined Arsenal from Cardiff City later that same week, signing a scholarship deal with a pre-contract agreement for professional terms when he turns 17. He’s taken the number 80.
Neither players has yet had the chance to debut for the Arsenal academy, so they may get their first opportunity on Wednesday.

Other notable inclusions are Brayden Clarke and Andre Harriman-Annous, who are both over the age limit for the Youth League.
Teams are allowed up to five players who are up to one year older than the limit, though those players must have been registered with the club for at least two years to qualify. Clarke signed in March 2024, so he now fits that requirement.
It’s also worth mentioning Luis Munoz (14) and Jaden Maghoma (15), who are both still schoolboys and younger than many of their teammates for the game.
U21 boss David Horseman will lead the team, so it seems he’s set to remain in charge of the u19s in the Youth League despite his full-time appointment to the u21s.
