Following their relegation from the Premier League, Burnley have undertook somewhat of a rebuild.
With new boss Vincent Kompany at the helm, there has been plenty of transfer activity at Turf Moor so far this summer in terms of both incomings and outgoings.
There have been 11 new arrivals at the Championship outfit so far, and, naturally, that means room has to be made for those signings.
With that in mind, here, we’ve identified two Clarets that could depart the club before the transfer deadline.
One player that certainly looks as though they are on the way out at Turf Moor is Matthew Lowton.
Lowton plays right-back and unfortunately for him, this is an area Burnley are looking strong in at present.
The club retained Connor Roberts following their relegation from the Premier League and then signed Brazilian full-back Vitinho from Cercle Brugge.

That leaves Lowton as third choice and surplus to requirements.
Indeed, there have even been reports to that effect, so it looks likely the 33-year-old will no longer be a Burnley player come the end of the summer.
Another player that has been linked with a Turf Moor exit is central defender Kevin Long.
The 32-year-old has barely featured for the Clarets in recent seasons, and like Lowton, has seen a number of new arrivals in his position.
The likes of CJ Egan-Riley, Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Luke McNally have all been added to Vincent Kompany’s squad this summer, leaving Long likely surplus to requirements for the season ahead.
Having played such little football in recent seasons, it’s unclear where Long will go, but it could be that his future lies away from Burnley.
