The Stallions Ladies wrap up final preparations in Morocco

2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations: Burkina Faso intensifies preparations
After two intensive training camps with players from the national league, Burkina Faso is gearing up to ramp up its preparations for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Coach Pascal Sawadogo and his squad kicked off the second phase of preparations on Thursday at the 4 August Stadium in Ouagadougou. This stage, as described by the coach, is primarily focused on physical readiness. The squad features players who are active exclusively in the domestic league, and "each of them has played at least 16 matches this season".
The team is scheduled to depart for Morocco late Monday into Tuesday, where they will be joined by foreign-based professionals to begin the third phase of their build-up.
Just as in 2025, the Stallions Ladies will play two friendly matches against the tournament hosts as part of their preparations.
