Neymar has been absent from the national team since October 2023. Currently sidelined with an injury at Santos, the player is far from making a return to the Brazil squad. Facing the media, Seleção boss Carlo Ancelotti provided an update on the former Parisian's situation.

"At his best, Neymar can absolutely play in this team, without any problem. When he is physically fit, he has the qualities required not only to play for Brazil, but for any team in the world, thanks to his exceptional skills," the manager said.

For Neymar to be considered for the 2026 World Cup with Brazil, he will have to regain full fitness.
