Wolverhampton Wanderers' summer transfer window is yet to well and truly kick into gear, with the Old Gold still having made just three additions to their squad following relegation back to the Championship, whilst outgoings for players like Ladislav Krejci and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde remain a possibility.

Kieran Trippier, Raul Jimenez, and Rafiki Said remain Wolves' only three signings so far this summer, with the former two joining on free transfers relatively early on in the window.

As Cesar Peixoto looks to stamp his authority on the Black Country outfit following his appointment, more incomings and outgoings are expected between now and the deadline on September 1st.

The Portuguese head coach has been tasked with guiding the Midlands club back to the top flight the first time of asking, though as unrest grows among supporters following their transfer business, or lack thereof, he has urged those in the stands at Molineux to remain calm and trust in the club.

With fan unrest, Peixoto has sent a message to Wolves supporters to reassure them that transfer business is in good hands, saying: "Since the first moment I talked with them and trained with them, all the players work very hard to try and do all I want from them.

"The team has started to grow up physically and tactically and understand the game. We stay at a good level but we have to improve more and more.

Things are going to happen. There are delays because of the World Cup [but] we know what we need, we know what we are doing.

Peixoto would go on to say: "There’s going to be changes. The market is delayed and we try to manage the situation.

"Some players will go out, some players will come. We're going to change a lot, but me, Matt and Nathan, we know what we are doing."

With the 46-year-old admitting that whilst additions will be made, exits are expected too, as we asked Football League World's Wolves fan pundit, Thomas Woodhall, has shared their thoughts on who they think will leave the club this summer, and has name-dropped two specific stars whose departures, they believe, make the most sense.

Thomas said: "I think the answer is [Ladislav] Krejci. I don't want to see him go; I think he's a quality player. I think he can play multiple roles.

"I think him next to Andre would be a useful combination if we're pressed for players in that area. [He’s] also a brilliant centre-back, of course.

"Apart from him, you really don't want to lose Fer Lopez. I think, for the necessity to the team with the amount we'll get, Krejci is just the one that makes sense.

"Yeah, [Jean-Ricner] Bellegarde is another one that could go. I mean, I think he'll be really good in the Championship, but he's another one."

Krejci, 27, joined Wolves last summer for around £26 million, and made 28 Premier League appearances last season as Wolves were relegated, whilst Bellegarde, 28, joined in the summer of 2023 for around £12.8 million, and has gone on to amass 96 appearances in all competitions since.

Krejci had been the subject of interest earlier in the window from Leeds United, but the Whites have since sealed a lucrative deal for Bosnian defender Tarik Muharemovic instead.

Wolves have an array of options at centre-back, with the likes of Toti Gomes, Yerson Mosquera, Santiago Bueno, and Nasser Djiga to choose from, so exits in that area make sense, with the Czech Republic international the likeliest to collect a good fee.

Bellegarde, meanwhile, is entering his fourth year at Molineux, and should an offer arrive for the Haitian, he could be tempted by the prospect of a new challenge at this stage in his career.

Peixoto would surely love to keep both, but will be aware that the possibility of that happening is slim to none.
