Super second half leads to three points

FC Red Bull Salzburg Women 3-1 USV Neulengbach (H/T:0-0). Goals: Crnoja (59'), G. Spinn (75'), Krassnig (88') - Tuppinger (90')

The first half was promising and the second was superb. Once the goals started against USV Neulengbach, they kept on coming, and apart from a last-minute consolation, the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga match at the Red Bull Football Academy was one-way traffic.

Match summary

Due to the visitors' late arrival, the match got underway with a 15-minute delay – and yet the visitors were the first to threaten as Ziletkina fired the first warning shot. Our team couldn't quite get past their back line until half-time, so long-range efforts were the preferred strategy for the time being.

Theresa D'Angelo tried to net the goal of the month, but her beautifully crafted effort from afar whizzed wide. Sara Grabovac also tried to shoot over, and Vina Crnoja tried to shoot too centrally. On the other side, goalkeeper Lara Ritter excelled against Pireci. The 0-0 score at halftime roughly reflected the flow of the play.

Pavlovic's players, however, came out of the dressing room with more momentum and capitalised on the hour mark. Emelie Kobler won the ball at the front and passed it to Sara Grabovac, who - in a more attacking role today - charged to the byline in textbook fashion. Crnoja fired home her cross from the edge of the box (59')

From then on, our team clearly dominated, with Neulengbach struggling to keep up. Julia Grünwald crossed to Greta Spinn and witnessed a burst of energy from the winger. The Tyrolean faced goalkeeper Grabenhofer and remained cool (75'). Tina Krassnig would ultimately seal the deal. She casually shook off Grabenhofer and made it 3-0 (88'). It didn't matter that Tuppinger scored the consolation goal for the Lower Austrians (90') – our FC Red Bull Salzburg women celebrated their first home win!

It was a commanding victory, and we dominated our opponents! In the first half, we had a few issues in the final third and we lacked composure – but that improved as the game progressed. Ultimately, we were able to create numerous chances and score three goals - more would have been possible. It's an important win. We picked up where we left off last week. The girls on the bench also contributed again. I'm very pleased!
