3 Real Madrid stars ruled out of Celta Vigo meeting | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid will be forced to make do without a trio of suspended stars for the club’s next outing.

This comes owing to a series of cards handed out during Los Blancos’ meeting with Getafe.

Real marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming fellow capital outfit Getafe to the Santiago Bernabéu for a league matchup.

When all was said and done, Álvaro Arbeloa’s troops were condemned to the wrong side of a 1-0 result, owing to a stunning strike on the part of Martín Satriano.

Their 2nd league defeat on the bounce, Real Madrid, in turn, have slipped four points behind arch rivals Barcelona at the La Liga summit.

And yet, the woes of tonight’s hosts were not restricted solely to the scoreline.

In addition, three members of Arbeloa’s squad picked up suspensions.

Defenders Dean Huijsen and Álvaro Carreras were both shown their 5th yellow cards of the Spanish top-flight campaign.

Franco Mastantuono was then shown a straight red card for dissent late on.

All three, as a result, will be unavailable to play their part in Real Madrid’s next outing, against Celta Vigo this coming Friday.
