The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have been made aware of the financial demands laid out by Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies for next summer.

And the figures involved only serve to provide further context to the hesitance of Deco and co. to move forward with an official proposal for the Canadian.

Defender Davies has of course long seen his name dominate the headlines across Spain.

As much comes with the 24-year-old, as things stand, due to see his contract terms with the aforementioned Bayern come to a close in the summer of 2025.

Widely regarded as one of the standout full-backs in world football, both Barcelona and Real Madrid have therefore made known their interest in his services.

To date, no formal offer is understood to have been drawn up by either club, however.

And, as alluded to above, on Monday, an insight into precisely why has been provided.

‘Davies’ agent demands a signing bonus of close to €30 million and a salary of more than €12 million from anyone who wants to sign him.’

Amid their ongoing financial difficulties, such figures are likely out of reach for Barcelona at this moment in time.
