4 Barcelona stars put through ‘tunnel of slaps’ in training before Villarreal | OneFootball

A quartet of first-team stars at La Liga giants Barcelona were on Saturday subjected to the traditional ‘tunnel of slaps’ at the club’s training ground.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Barcelona are of course fresh off a celebratory last 48 hours.

This comes after the Blaugrana’s status as Spanish champions for the season was confirmed, by way of a 2-0 victory over Espanyol.

After an open-top bus parade through the streets of Catalunya on Friday, Hansi Flick’s squad, in turn, reported back for training earlier today.

And as alluded to above, the joyous atmosphere amongst Barca’s ranks only continued at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

As per MD, all of Iñigo Martínez, Dani Olmo, Frenkie de Jong and Fermín López were put through a ‘tunnel of slaps’ at the start of the session.

This came to commemorate the birthdays of the four players during the month of May.
