Ipswich Town have issued a 'not-for-sale' warning to any club interested in signing Jaden Philogene this winter, with the English winger reportedly the subject of interest from Premier League AFC Bournemouth amid Antoine Semenyo's sale.

Although Ipswich Town have not been firing on all cylinders in the first half of the 2025/26 EFL Championship campaign, the Tractor Boys are still well within the hunt for automatic promotion.

With the departures of the likes of Liam Delap, Conor Chaplin, Omari Hutchinson, Nathan Broadhead, and Marcus Harness in attacking areas this summer, head coach Kieran McKenna had no choice but to revamp his side's final third options.

In came the likes of Sindre Walle Egeli, Marcelino Nunez, Ivan Azon, Chuba Akpom, and Kasey McAteer to replace their outgoings, but none of those additions have yet to light up Portman Road as hoped.

Instead, it has been former Aston Villa and Hull City winger Jaden Philogene who has starred for the club so far this season, with the winger coming under the subject of interest from Premier League side Bournemouth as a result to replace the outgoing Antoine Semenyo.

Ipswich have been quick to warn off any potential suitors for the 23-year-old, who may well be the difference between Ipswich's chances of automatic promotion or a play-off place this season.

Ipswich Town do not want to sell Jaden Philogene this January under any circumstances

Football League World's Ipswich fan pundit, Adam, has shared their views on whether Ipswich were correct to issue a 'hands off' warning for Philogene this January, and what sort of price it would possibly take to lure him away from Suffolk this winter.

Adam said, "I agree with the 'not-for-sale' message from Ipswich Town, given the price that we signed him for."I think his goals this season have been worth their weight in gold and, in the second-half of the season, that could be the difference between automatic promotion and the playoffs."So his value is probably whatever automatic promotion is, which is about £100m at the moment or even more than that."So yeah, I can't see Town wanting to sell him at all for anything less than."I mean, probably 50, anything that basically prices clubs out of realistically wanting to sign him. So yeah, £50m, £50m minimum."

Jaden Philogene can help to fire Kieran McKenna and Ipswich Town to an immediate return to the Premier League this season

Ipswich were one of the favourites for the Championship title at the beginning of the campaign, and although they now have their work cut out for them to achieve that, with Coventry undergoing an excellent first half of the season, automatic promotion is firmly within their reach, nonetheless. The underlying statistics have Ipswich at the top of the league, and although to many that won't mean much, it is a clear indicator that whilst results haven't always quite been there, performances have.Indeed, they have already done the double over league leaders Coventry this season, with a 3-0 home win followed up by a 2-0 away victory less than a month later, proving that McKenna's side are nothing else than serious contenders.Philogene is clearly one of the most talented and exciting players in the second tier, having joined Ipswich in January 2025 for £20 million prior to their relegation from the Premier League, and he has the ability to win games on his own.

The second half of the season presents a real opportunity for Ipswich, who will be hoping Coventry continues to slip beyond the packed festive period and capitalise on their mistakes.

Philogene will be key to Ipswich's efforts to climb the league, and keeping him at the club could well earn promotion in itself, meaning a price tag almost simply cannot be put on his head.
